Every aspect of the law intrigues and energizes Emily Slay Walters. She is a passionate attorney with a creative approach to problem solving. When building a case, she brings everything she has to every challenge she comes up against. Her admiration for the legal system led her to become the first attorney in her family and to graduate cum laude from law school.
Emily concentrates her law practice in the areas of medical malpractice litigation, employment related issues and workers’ compensation. Emily’s colleagues and clients respect her professionalism, her team-first approach and her unrelenting commitment to creating the best possible outcome in every case. While in law school, she was frequently recognized for her hard work and dedication. She was awarded Scholars of Merit in Business Organizations, Government Regulation of Business and Reading Law: The Interpretation of Legal Texts. She served as the Executive Editor for Cumberland’s American Journal of Trial Advocacy, the nation’s oldest law review dedicated exclusively to the art of trial advocacy.
When she’s not working, Emily enjoys spending time with family, trying new restaurants, attending concerts, reading and spending time outdoors.
Emily earned her BA from The University of Alabama and her JD from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
