Megan Jones has built up the endurance and resume of an attorney well beyond her years. She relishes a challenge and thrives under pressure. She is an engaging storyteller, who eloquently and instantly commands attention. Megan’s passion for the cause she is defending and her undeniable pursuit for truth and fairness draws in the jury with a persuasive voice on behalf of her clients. Her father and grandfather were both attorneys, so she grew up understanding the importance of seeking and serving justice.
After graduating, cum laude, from law school, Megan joined the firm in 2009. Her practice is devoted to representing insurance companies, self-insured employers, hospitals, business and municipalities in all aspects of civil litigation, with a strong concentration in the areas of workers’ compensation, retaliatory discharge and discrimination claims, including EEOC claims. Her practice areas also include insurance defense and general litigation, along with product liability and medical malpractice. Megan has won summary judgments in Federal court and defense verdicts on behalf of Fortune 500 companies as well as closely held corporations.
In addition to her active litigation practice, Megan regularly presents to clients on emerging issues in workers’ compensation and insurance law, along with case law updates for the various areas of her practice. Her dedication, experience, expertise and undeniable love for the law has led her to become a trusted mentor to emerging attorneys in the firm, as well as students in the Cumberland School of Law Trial Program.
When Megan is not working or serving her community, she spends her free time playing tennis with friends and enjoys time with her husband and their two dogs.
Megan earned her BA from Florida State University and her JD from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
