Huie partner Cannon Lawley will serve as the 2018-2019 Committee Newsletter Vice Chair for the ABA Forest Resources Committee.
The Forest Resources Committee addresses issues that touch both private and public forest lands. They focus on legal, policy and practical issues relevant to owners, lenders, trade associations, managers, users, non-profits and others who are interested in forest lands. Forest Resources is a committee within the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources. In this leadership role, Cannon will encourage committee members and others to develop written content for publication on the Section’s website.
Cannon serves as a member of the Alabama Land Recycling and Economic Development Commission and the Auburn University School of Forestry and Wildlife Science Advisory Council. Additionally, he is a member of the Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt Committee.
Before graduating from The University of Alabama School of Law, Cannon earned a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources (Honors Program) from Auburn University.
