On November 2, 2016, attorney Bart Cannon secured a defense verdict on behalf of an outdoor retailer in case involving a fall that occurred on the retailer’s premises. The plaintiff filed suit against the retailer alleging that she tripped and fell as a result of a dangerous and hidden condition on the retailer’s premises. At trial, the plaintiff sought damages for personal injury, pain and suffering, and lost wages. The retailer defended the case at trial by proving that no defect existed on its premises, and further that the fall occurred as a result of the plaintiff’s own negligence. After hearing testimony and receiving evidence at trial, the Court found in favor of the retailer as to each of the plaintiff’s claims.
