The Huie, Fernambucq & Stewart defense team of Stan Cash and John Herndon secured a wrongful death defense verdict in favor of Regional Paramedical Services after a week-long trial in the Circuit Court of Walker County on November 13, 2015.
The lawsuit arose from an incident occurring in August 2008 involving an ambulance and a passenger vehicle driven by an area resident, who was killed in the accident. The plaintiff’s claim was that the ambulance driver was wanton and therefore Regional Paramedical Services was wanton by and through its driver. The Walker County jury returned a verdict for Regional Paramedical Services. The case was tried by Circuit Judge Jerry K. Selman.
