Huie will relocate its Birmingham law office two miles to the east to the recently developed Pump House Plaza at the intersection of US Highway 280 and Pump House Road. First US Bank completed construction of the Birmingham office project in August 2017. The building houses their Birmingham banking offices as well as the corporate headquarters of the publicly traded bank holding company, First US Bancshares, Inc.
Huie will move from its current location at 2801 Highway 280 South in the Protective Center in early 2019.
“When taking into consideration our long-term, strategic growth, and when weighing the needs of our clients, Pump House Plaza was the perfect fit for our firm,” said Managing Partner John Herndon. “The new Pump House Plaza location offers many advantages, including a best-in-class office building in a prime location for both our clients and our team.”
James F. House, President and CEO of First US Bank said of the deal, “We are happy to reach this agreement with Huie and look forward to building a long-term relationship.”
Huie will occupy more than 27,000 square feet of office space. Philip Currie of J.H. Berry & Gilbert, Inc. brokered the lease for Huie, with Walter Brown and Jerry Grant of Graham & Co. representing First US Bank.
