Jennifer Egbe Elected as 2026-2027 Chair of the Birmingham Airport Authority Board of Directors

On September 17, 2026, the Birmingham Airport Authority (BAA) Board of Directors elected Huie partner Jennifer Egbe as Chair for the 2026-2027 term. Jennifer joined the BAA board in 2021 and has previously served as Secretary as well as the Chair of the Executive Compensation Committee.

During her time on the board, Jennifer has been involved in Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport’s efforts to modernize and restructure parking, which remains one of the board’s largest current initiatives. As Chair, Jennifer will work with the Board and staff as the BAA pursues opportunities in parking, economic development and critical infrastructure projects which could bring additional state and federal investments to BHM. The airport is also focused on expanding air service, including attracting new airlines and increasing the number of flights serving Birmingham.

“This is another opportunity to be able to serve the community,” said Jennifer. “I’ve approached my time on the board with the same mentality of service and community leadership from the beginning of my tenure as a Director and I look forward to continuing those efforts. This is a fantastic board made up of seven incredible professionals who have made a career of pouring into their community and leading through their experience and love for this city.”

The BAA also continues to receive high marks for customer satisfaction, with approval consistently in the 97-99% range across areas including customer service, wait times and security.
