Mayor Randall L. Woodfin has announced the reappointment of Jennifer Egbe, a partner at Huie, Fernambucq & Stewart LLP, to the Birmingham Airport Authority Board of Directors.
Egbe was first appointed to the Birmingham Airport Authority Board of Directors in 2021 and was reappointed to serve a second six-year term from 2026 through 2032, most recently serving as Board Secretary. The Birmingham Airport Authority was established in 1986 to manage the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport and continue its growth. The Birmingham Airport Authority is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors, appointed by the Mayor of the City of Birmingham and confirmed by the Birmingham City Council. The day-to-day operation is managed by the President and CEO and the Birmingham Airport Authority staff of over 100 employees within five departments.
Since joining Huie in 2007, Jennifer has focused her practice in the areas of automotive product liability, personal injury, medical malpractice, employment litigation defense, general insurance defense and civil rights litigation. She has served on trial teams that have multiple defense verdicts and summary judgment phase dismissals. Throughout her legal career, Jennifer has remained involved in the community, and she looks forward to continuing to serve through the Birmingham Airport Authority.
